Have you ever let go of someone you really love for the sake of others?

No but right now my family are telling me to let go of my boyfriend with whom I have been for 3 years and to marry someone else just because they do not like his religion. I know this is so bad but I trust the love of my family and I hope they will understand very quickly that the love of my life is my boyfriend and I am not changing religion if they do not wish so. I am in between of my boyfriend and my dad whom I love both equally. So I am just waiting for the storm to calm down. And I want to reach the shore safely without losing someone or something.

Hard part of relationship that you have to let go the person because of another person. It doesn't happen to me yet but looking at it that what if it will happen to me, I consider some things. If my partner don't want to be with me, in the beginning it is hurtful, you will keep on crying and thinking. As you keep yourself busy and with family and friends, you can not spend too much time to think about and that is helpful. I am open in anything that may happen, and i am willing to accept the fact that i can not be with my love just for the sake of others. I don't have to insist myself to my partner if don't want me anymore.

Well I have never ever done that..and would not ever dare do that... because in the end I know I would regret it and I would suffer. If you really love that person, then you should fight for her/him. Do not let go of it, unless you dont really care for that person...
