My computer has four partition of hard disk, say C D E F, and its the C drive where I have installed the windows XP, Its amazingly fast as I keep very little load on this drive. Its electrifying with a 2GB of RAM!

Amazingly my partitions of hard disks are also C,D,E, and F! My OS is installed on C, while D is used to be the one to install OS, but since my disk C is larger than D, I go with C 8). I usually saved all my data in E, and occasionally F just in case. I separate my data and OS system to prevent the loss of data later on, so I guess it'll do haha.

hi dhawanbm, my computer is bit older with PIII 733 CPU and 320 MB SDRAM. It is quite slower but am happy. It has four HDD and total 9 partitions of different type. I had XP loaded in C: but somehow it got corrupted and cannot be repaired. So I installed anew and this time in G:. Happy computing

Hi! I keep my OS also in drive C because it's the first drive (boot) that the computer reads. Unless you still have drive A/B. Yeah! You're correct, its really faster specially if only OS is the one installed in it. Have a nice day in computer and happy mylotting!
