What will you do if you found out that your accounts were hacked by someone. You're suspecting that this person did it 'coz this person might have a huge grudge on you. And its possible that this person might know how to hack. When I say your "accounts", that includes your yahoo accounts, gmail, live mail accounts, and some of your accounts in the internet Would you consider this person as pathetic? How will you overcome this issue? For me, the best way to prevent from hacking is to change your passwords every month and use characters, symbols and numbers in your passwords. Thats the best way I think.

I would retaliate and act furiously if I know the person who hacked into my system or knew my passwords. I myself would code a bot, bind it and destroy him!! Lol.. And the thing about changing your passwords every month, it can hardly save you from these threats of losing your passwords to anyone. Symbols, characters, numbers they are mini hurdles for those hackers. You need to ensure a powerful security.
