Have you writers out there joined Red Gage? Red Gage is a networking site that wants you to upload links to your content on other sites. Unlike Stumble Upon and Digg etc. that frown on too much self promotion, Red Gage is all about self promotion. You can write content for Red Gage or upload photos, write a Red Gage Blog or upload links to your content on other sites. The links give your content back links. When someone views your link in Red Gage, then follows your link, you get credit for a view from Red Gage and your other content site also. Of course some may just read your description on your link and not go to the other site, but it's still a good site to get some exposure. They also pay something like $1.13 per thousand views. I had seen some noted writers say that they got bonuses and they thought it was because the content they linked to was ranked very high on the original site, so I wasn't expecting any bonuses. I was quite pleasantly surprised when one of my articles received a bonus. It doesn't even have a Google rank and isn't doing well on the original site. If you're interested you can go to www.redgage.com . They do pay for referrals, but nobody has a referral link. There is a place to type in the name of the person who referred you, so if you're so inclined, my name in that box would be appreciated. Does any one know of other sites that allow you to self promote? I never miss a chance for self promotion.

I just came across your discussion about Red Gage. Are you still active there? I joined about a month ago from a link here at myLot. However, I have not been too active there. Its fairly frustrating to do anything there because the pages are very slow loading. I have rated a few pictures and uploaded a couple of my pictures, and I have made a few friends, but haven't done anything else because its so slow loading.

I'm still a member there, but my participation consists mostly of uploading links to articles I've written on other sites throughout the internet. The pages load as slow as myLot and it's frustrating to try and find anything by a certain author. I've found that it's easier to subscribe to someone if I'm interested in their articles. That way I get a notice when they post a new one and I can go in and read rate and comment. Mostly it's a way for me to keep track of all my articles, an index if you will, and I can earn a little money that way, but very little because I'm not active in the community.

I just joined redgage a few weeks ago, and am just getting the hang of it. The cross promotion is nice, and a few of my friends have won bonuses already.

Do you use the same name on Red Gage? I'll go see if I can find you. I've been on there nearly a month and still get lost trying to be a part of the community, but it has really boosted my Bukisa and eHow views.
