MaxOut - What do you think of the split in F1?

Since FOTA announced their intention to form a breakaway series, there has been a lot of speculation on whether or not they can pull it off. Max and Bernie have both threatened legal actions, but since the teams seemed intent on going anyway, Max has dropped that threat. Although Max says they are nearing a deal, the teams deny that they are negotiating. Are you in favor of the new FOTA series? Do you think the fans will follow F1 with Max and the FIA or the FOTA series? Is your favorite team amongst the 8 breakaway teams? Will they force Max to resign and return to the fold?

It is very depressing to hear about the split. I hope that there is still time and FIA would get all the teams together and even compromise on their stand of the budget cap so that it's a win-win situations for everybody, for FIA, the teams and most importantly the fans. What's a sport without it's fans? It would be a great loss for formula 1 if the split happens. Let's hope that formula 1 remains united, especially with the underdogs performing so well, for a change.

There's a certain air of sadness with it, to be sure. I was looking forward to my Team USF1 joining and now they will be joining a sport without any competition in it. But the teams can't capitulate to Mad Max, they would be under his thumb forever. Even now, just because he knows they want him out, he's vowing to stand for election again because F1 "needs" him. The reign of Max must come to an end. It's too bad it has to come this way.
