I find Gmail confusing and i simply cant understand them making all the mails between two persons in one mail like a chat. I get so confused many a times by these kind of mails. I delete some mail after replying to it and all comes back when that man replies and if i look few days later i get confused like what happened when? I like the way yahoo does, sends each mail separately. And if you forward ur mail to many contacts biggest confusion in that because if say 10 person reply , they are all bundled in one mail and if you want to delete say 3 of the mails in that you can not.

hi, i disagree about gmail. i feel gmail is better than other e-mail accounts. i find mails bundling under 1 title lets me to manage the mails better. you can delete mails from the bundle. all you have to do is enter to that bundled mail, you'll see shrinked titles only. expand that and delete each one by one. that simple!

I do not find Gmail confusing at all. If you write a mail to person and that person gives reply to your mail then that reply will be just be under your first mail that you have send. Your mails with one person will be in one mail itself. Whereas in Yahoo you will find new replys as new mail and in this process your inbox will fill up. I have no confusiosn at all with this system of gmail and I like it as well. I even like the Yahoo as well. But I feel gmail is faster than yahoo in opening up the mails and spamming is very minimal compared to yahoo.. One disadvantage with gmail is that if you want to send same message to all your contacts you have to remember the first character of that person nickname or name if not they will be no option to copy all the ids from your contacts. Either you have to copy all the contacts emails in notepad or ms word and paste it in the To box. In Yahoo, you can add all the contacts at a time from your contacts..

hi madhu, thanks for such a nice and lengthy reply and one thing i liked about gmail is that you can send mail to as many friends as you want in one go ie you can forward it to many friends while yahoo puts limit to maximum 50 in one mail.

I haven't found Gmail that confusing on the contrary. It's pretty much easy to use and you can better manage your mails and know if you have send this e-mail or forward before to such particular person or not.But in the end we all have our own likes and dislikes & opinion.cheers!

I personally love gmail. I like how it has the conversations/emails all in one because say they are replying to something and you don't get it you can easily go back to your email and see what you said that prompted their response.

thanks dreamr for the response and i do agree that gmail may be better one but for me it is quite complicated one. i just dont like the not having the option to delete one mail in whole lot of chat which sometimes is not good for me.

Gmail is great. It is much easier to use and has integrated chat and video. It is much better than all the others who don't use ajax technology. Cheers!!

For me i think that Gmail is the best free email service provider. It is simple and nice to use and also user friendly.I despise yahoomail but i prefer hotmail to yahoomail but gmail to hotmail.Forwarding emails with gmail is just sytematic and fast and would not crash as compared to the rest.

well!! I think I like Gmail more.aha Gmail shows the histories which i dont need to search or something...if i need my information back...it's much better than hotmail.(myself though!!)hehe but the point is i try to sign up a new Gmail account last 3 days. Gmail has changed that we have to have a mobile number to sign up a new Gmail account.the reason is about the spam?hmmmm maybe that is the way to stop the spam and scam? hah..who knows

I also find gmail confusing, but I still like it more than yahoomail because gmail is more reliable when it comes to sending and receiving mail. I usually receive and send e-mails faster when I'm using gmail compared with when I'm using yahoomail. I've also noticed that most companies that need to use e-mail prefer to use gmail over yahoo.

Yes freind this problem is there in Gmail. That why i prerefr Rediffmail, Which perfomrs best even from Yahoo too. Reason behind this is that in yahoo we have to download the image attachement even for preview but in rediff this problem is not present. They show the image attached immediately after the mail content so it is very easy to see the attachement and in rediff writing and saving address is also very easy. There is an option of saving address automatically if we reply or do any mail. This facility i like most of Rediff. So i sugges you that if you are facing problem in gmail, please use rediff and see the difference.

Yes, I totally agree with you. I also find it very confusing. But I linked my gmail account to my Microsoft Office Outlook and it separates the different types of mail, which solves this problem to a big extend and makes it easier to operate.

I guess it's all a matter of preference. I really like Gmail - it's very efficient! I don't have to go through my old mails just to try and remember what I had said, blah blah blah. Unlike you though - I don't delete e-mails. I just delete spam mail. Everything else, I keep. G-mail also has many features that I use - the Calendar is one of them. Very effective. Another feature is the notebook - I use it all the time when I plan mini-vacations with my bf. Because we would come up with at least 3 places- and narrow it down from there. The next time we go on vacation - we think about the places that we didn't get to visit. And walahhh - they're right there on notebook! Cool huh? Anyways - move on over to yahoo/hotmail if Gmail is not for you. Or you can also contact Gmail admin. and ask them if this is a setting in your e-mail that you can maybe turn off? I dont' really know. Good luck!

Hi khayshenz, thx for the response and may be gmail is pretty efficient , i am quite confused and at my wits end many a times . Yes gmail has lots and lots of features and for a not computer savvy girl like me it is like a latest mobile whole 90% functions i cant understand and what i understood doesnt work the way i understood.
