Would you prefer to stay in a beach hut or log cabin?

If you had the chance which would you prefer to stay in a beach hut on a tropical island or a log cabin in a forest? Do you have a better kind of accommodation in mind? Which country would you like to go to?

I like both, but I am definitely a beach gal at heart. I don't need fancy accomodations, just the sound and smell of the sea. My current dream vacation is to go to Thailand, I've never been there and everyone says that it is wonderful. Have you been there Maxima? I know you have been so many places, if I didn't like ya so much I think I'd be jealous!

Hey, Yes Thailand is beautiful. The Pattaya beach is very famous amongst tourists and I enjoyed every second i spent there. There are a lot of budh temples there and plenty to explore. Thai people are very sweet and apart from Bangkok u will find difficulty in communicating there. I hope u have a wonderful time there. Also do upload pics of yr vacation. I love to c thai beaches. Cheers, Tutul

Well, I've done both. As to which is preferable, that depends on other factors such as weather, companions. Both could be good if you were to go on a spiritual retreat and they were in an isolated location. I quite like the accommodation one finds in the new age centres. Quite often they have dormitories; usually separate ones for males and females, though sometimes they can be mixed! It can be helpful in meeting people and be really friendly. Sometimes, some of the personal development courses can be quite demanding, so being cosy, in the dorm bed, can be extremely welcome!

Hey, Hmm.. iam a beach guy. So i would prefer a beach but a quiet one. Not a crowded one. A good comapny in a nice quiet beach with some excellent food and i need nothing more. Well I like wild life too, so it all depends how iam feeling on that particualr day. We have a very nice hill station here, and its situated inside a forest. I love spending time there as well. Cheers, Tutul

I haven't ever been to a hill station so it would be lovely to try that. I am keen on tropical beaches and huts in Mexico had a sand floor and a thatched roof. I saw much wildlife when I stayed at Caye Caulker in Belize. I loved seeing pelicans, sting rays, nurse sharks and a manatee. Thanks for your wonderful response Tutul.

To me max, this is a really difficult question as both are heaven, but if forced to make a choice, I'd take the beach. However, weather conditions would have a bearing.

well the beach hut doesnt have to be on a tropical ocean. i prefer a cottage on any lake river or stream or even ocean. i love the water and dont really care where it is. here in canada we have a lot of wonderful lakes and rivers.

I look forward to visiting beautiful Canada. It does have some lovely looking lakes with cottages around the edge. It sounds like you would have a tranquil and peaceful time.

I think I would prefer the beach hut on an island with white sand and blue water. I went to the Cayman Islands a few years ago. It was a stop for the cruise ship. We only were on the island for about 4 hours and did not have time do everything. I would love to go back but on a plane. That way I can spend some time on the beautiful beach. I would also like to go to England and Scotland. Lots of history and beautiful countrywide.

I think if I was on a cruise I would get frustrated going to gorgeous places like the Cayman Islands and then not being able to stay there long enough. Yes, going by plane next time you would get as much time there as you like. Your idea of a beach hut is just like my ideal accommodation that I have in mind.

Hmmm, I think it would depend, but most probably I would prefer the hut at the beach. The forest can be beautiful and all, but my love for the ocean is bigger :) As for which country I would like to go... I don't think it really matters to me that much. True I still love traveling, but at this point in my life is not that much about "which country I am in" but more " this is what I would like, no matter in which country I am" :) I've traveled quite a lot so far, and while I'm still curious about this or that, I've kind of learned/noticed/found out that it's not much where I am but how I feel :)

I have always loved going to the beach and staying in beach houses, but my favorite thing to do is stay in the mountains in a log cabin. My family goes to this resort in Tennessee in the States and it has the most beautiful cabins. I love being in a cabin in front of the fireplace. I don't think anything could be much more relaxing to me than that.

I like the idea of both of these equally! I like the idea of sitting in a beach hut with the sound of the sea nearby and being able to walk n the sand but, I like the idea of sitting in a log cabin when it is cold outside with a fire on and drinking hot chocolate! x

i always dream of having a house near the lake or sea. the winds and the ocean and the wave me so at peace. i just want to sit in the seashore and watching either the sunrise or the sunset. and everyday i will go swimming since it will be a good exercise for me. So if your going to asked me it will be beach hut. im afraid of animals and dark so i dont go for log cabin. i want to go to hawaii and of course here in the philippines. we have nice beaches.
