For 4.oo you can buy a propane bbque tank fullness meter at home depot, now the reason im mentioning this is the last 4 tanks ive bought have only been 1/2 full because raising the price of refilled tanks isnt going to work they figured out so what they are doing is putting less propane in the tanks. so if you buy a new tank take the meter with you and before you walk out the door check it for fullness. 4 different places 4 , 1/2 full tanks so it's deffinitly worth the price of the meter, better than running out of gas before the cooking is done and the store is closed.

Good advice. I've never BBQ'd with propane but have been considering switching to it. Now I might stick to charcoal.

i dont regret going to gas, i just take the tank back in and go to one of those places that fills them when you take your tank in, that way you can keep an eye on the guy and their meter... less mess and no ashes flying around.

We don't have a home depot but maybe I can find one elsewhere. I think that it is a good idea to get one also because why get taken advantage of they should be not taking advantage of people that way. My is getting a propane gas grill so I will definitely be spreading the information on to her.
