as a gardener it needs a lot of potentials, one of those is the so called magic touch as others say. naturally there are people who are gifted by God and possessed this magic touch. this person could plant a seed and let it grow healthy! some people who have not been given this magic touch, and when they plant it may die or do not grow healthy!

I have been gardening for almost 60 years but have not yet developed a magic touch. A lot of experience with successes and failures has taught me the basic rules. The weather, soil, seed variety, situation, pests and maintenance can all impact on the plant's performance. I consider myself an experienced and relatively successful gardener but not a wizard!.

Hi zearah, I should have told you that I started very young under my Grandfather's guidance and picked up a lot of tips from him that I still use. No magic spells but very useful information! I liked your comment. I will be 70 in October. Oh mylot!

aha! with your age now there's still too many chances that you could be able to found and invent some advance strategies and procedures on gardening and caring of plants this would be an advantage to the young generation who would follow your profession you could make your own published copy of your ideas and own stories being a gardener.published copy of experiences and stories plays a big role in education and learning.thank you for the compliment! enjoy and plant a smile while you explore in the garden of mylot!:):):)

Yes skills are needed for good gardening. Sometimes though I try random plantings and they may or may not work. It's always worth a try to see what will look good and do well and what will not do so well.

Yes i beileve that "magic touch" in planting anything. For example...when my brother plants a rose flower, it grows well n healthy but if the same rose cutting would be planted by my sister than it would not grow at all...so i beive in the magic touch....
