I think cricket receives more attention than it deserves. It is a game that is very much played among commonwealth countries with little global appeal. If India concentrates a little bit on other sports like football,Olympics then atleast India's presence will be felt at the world level.India barely manages it to make it to the medals tally in the olympics. As for the football goes the less said about it,the better.

well my friend there is a difference in game and athletics. cricket is a game. but athletics is something different. well about the attention, well if some nation is favoring some game then there is no hard. so what if only common wealth countries play the game. it does not spoil the game and its qualities. and more over, its person interest. if most of indians are attracted to cricket then it will def. get attention. but the thing is athletics are important. it is such a part which is common to everything. it is important to everyone as it is a very important thing to develop you as a person. its shapes a person physically and mentally and so we should focus on these from grass route level.

Certainly Not!!!The Indian Cricket gets the focus as it plays good cricket most of the times irrespective of winning or losing.Other games have to deliver with consistency. If you remember Hockey had its IPL when the team was doing well. But as soon as it got the BIG attention the hockey players dissapointed their fans with their poor performances.Cricket even after having so much pressure delivers more often than not.So it deserves the attention. But i also agree that their has to be attention to other sports to develop.they should not be cheated. To have the fame of cricket is on their performance.
