To me as a parent i usually dont allow my daughter to be outside without any supervision and thats because of where i live.I guess everyone or most of the other parents are overly trusting of the neighbourhood. Most evenings you walk through the neighbourhood and find kids as young as 4years roaming the street and not close to their home.Using obscenities, being vulgar, vandalizing and the works. When a neighbour who had her window smashed went to some of the parents she was appalled at what one of the mothers said. She told the lady that she should go up where the sun dont shine for her window. This is new to me because i grew up in the country and whilst growing up kids wouldnt dream of being so brave.Speaking to a friend about the situation she told me that its a norm for these kids to behave in such a manner. So i ask myself where are their parents? Why should kids be allowed out so late?

That is very surprising that people would let their kids behave in such a manner. It is sad what the world is becoming now a days.
When I was growing up, we had to be within yelling distance. If my mother called for us, and we did not come home, we would be in some serious trouble. I guess that she kept us in line pretty well, because I only remember that happening once in all of the time I was growing up.
Plus, after dark, the lines of where we were allowed to go got a lot closer to the house. And she had to know whose house we were playing at, or in who's yard. Sometimes, I think she would call for us just to see where we were at, even if it was just in the neighbor's yard. LOL
