So, after dinner, you have to wash those dirty dishes. How often do you use the dish washer to wash those dirty dishes? Or do you prefer wash them manually? In confession, I don't wash dishes a lot, but my parents usually do. They never use the dish washer machine, they rather wash dishes manually. What about you?

Hello clorissa my dear, you really must make sure that you wear rubber gloves all the time when you wash up as wrinkled old fingers could really put a young man off. Then when you catch a nice young man you make sure he buys you one of these new fangled dish washer machines or that he knows how to do these nasty jobs himself.

I wash my own dishes manually. I don't have that many pots and pans to clean so it's not that big of a deal. Perhaps if I had a large family then I'd buy a dish washer but for the time being I don't need one.

In India most people, including me, wash dishes manually. I believe its got to do with they way we cook our food, the shapes of the various utensils and the spices that go into Indian cooking. Indian cooking use a lot of spices which colour the utensils…also a lot of stir frying is needed to bring out the taste of the spices, sot he utensils get burned. It requires a lot of scrubbing to get the utensils clean again and I don’t think dishwasher can do that job.

I use the dishwasher about twice a week. There are only two of us here so no need to use it any more than that as we don't use a lot of dishes.

Hi, I don't have a dish washer at home. So manual it is! In a=kitchen works, I love the dish washing work compared to cooking. When I was young, I used to help my mom wash the dish while she is cooking. Since then, I love to volunteer to wash all the dishes even when my husband cooks!

We run the dishwasher once a day but with me trying everything to save money I just read a good idea. To turn off the dry cycle and dry them by hand. yes it will take more time but it will save money b/c that thing puts out some heat. I read somewhere that washing by hand actually uses more water then using the dishwasher.

i hate washing dishes especially if they are coated in grease from frying or have been left for few hours and you really need to scrub hard, at uni we dont have a dishwasher, but at home i do and it gets used everyday but only when its full up otherwise its waste of money

I don't like hand washing dishes really but in order to save the electricity and soap, I wash it sometimes manually and put them on the counter to get dried out. Otherwise, I put the dirty dishes in the dish washer, wait until it gets full, I start it. It makes life so much easier really because it does everything for us besides putting it back to the right place...

We don't have dishwasher it is not common here.. We do it manually me and youngest sister always washed our dishes. Sometimes it annoying when other members of your family is very lazy to wash their own plates and utensils. After I washed the dishes and do the cleaning in the kitchen I get annoyed of my father because he is very messy and he never wash his own plates and utensils after he ate.

We was dishes manually, because we don't have a dish washer, i often wash first with water to clean the mess of the plate and glass and other kitchen ware, then soap it, and after that i wash it 4 times to the water, to be clean and no other bacteria will go to it.

Cause i'm single,i always eat in the company dining-room ,so there is no need to buy a dishwasher . when childhood in the countryside,i really didn't like to wash the dishes mannually, cause felt it was oily and dirty. but now, when i come back,i'll help my mom with them. in my opinion, there is rarely dishwasher in china, esp in the countryside.

I use the dishwasher pretty much all the time. The only time i do dishes manually is if the dishwasher is broken! lol. Well, no sometimes I do them manually. I have some pots and pans that aren't supposed to go into the dishwasher. So if I use them I have to wash them by hand and sometimes I'll grab whatever else I can wash and fit in the strainer with the pans.

we dont have a dishwasher, we used to but mostly did the dishes ourselves, now we have kids that do the dishes, they hate it but we have no room for a dishwasher, nor do we have the money for one right now.

I load and use the dishwasher every day and night. I load it all day with the dirty dishes and then in the evening after dinner, I run the dishwasher. It is so much easier than washing the dishes and drying them by hand! I love my dishwasher, don't know what I'd do without it.

I use my dishwasher every day. I hate to dishes and if I don't have to stand around with my hands in soapy water then I would much rather not. I love my dishwasher and I would not touch a single dish and I would force the family to use paper plates rather than have to do the dishes by hand.

i was those all those dirty dishes by hand. i believe it you want it clean, you got to do it yourself. I believe the dishwasher doesn't do the job right. It may smell clean but then you see a bit of left overs still on that plate.. But don't get me wrong I do think the dishwasher is a great drying rack. ; )
