Rom 12:9 - Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. (NIV) [Let your] love be sincere (a real thing); hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good. (AMP) Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave o that which is good. (KJV) How much of these do you do?

You really need the Holy Spirit to help you with these, especially hating what is evil. We tend to want to hang on to and justify the issues in our lives that God wants us to deal with. There are some things that God wants us to let go of but we don't "hate" it enough to do it.
