Thoughts on Glenn Beck.

Just curious as to if any of you listen to him and what your thoughts are. I listen to him everyday and think he's a breath of fresh air, he bashes both parties as they all need it, and I like the fact he's a self educated guy and got to where he's at by scratching and clawing his way up the ladder. I feel the issues he talks about hits home and he explains it for every average joe to understand.

Can't stand him, however it has nothing to do with his poltiical beliefs. I watched him when interviewed Stephenie Meyer and if I had been her I would've smacked him in the face. He would ask her a question, she'd start to answer and he'd CUT her off and tell her how he knew this and that. She never got to even answer a question fully because he wouldn't let her. That is one of the WORST interviews I've ever seen done by anyone in the media. He was so incredibly rude that after seeing that I told myself I would never watch his show again.

I couldn't find any link to indicate that Glenn Beck had ever interviewed Stephenie Meyer. Is there a link? Your complaint could be attributed to just about every interviewer in the entire world.

I found the transcript. Didn't find any indication of Beck interrupting Meyer or her not being able to fully answer any questions. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0805/08/gb.01.html

Just to be honest I think he can be a drama queen. When he started talking about becoming a peacemaker and how America needs to come together, I honestly thought he was saying all of that in fear of the Fairness doctrine. When he started labeling people as un American if they would not support the newly elected President I think he said that to stay on the air. The man lives in Greenwich, CT yet he speaks about being apart of middle America. Now I do listen to him and some times watch him but some times I cannot stand the man.

I too watch Glenn Beck......He is a breath of fresh air and I think he has got his tuff together....But last night I had to laugh when he was talking about Obama and used the phase that Obama uses 'I'm the PRESIDENT' every time he says it I wonder who Obama is trying to convence....Himeself or the people of the United States... We all know Obama is the President so I guess that he is trying to convenice himself that he has that tittle.....What is funny about it is a friend of mine and I were talking about that earlier in the day.......I was wondering if Glen was listening to our coonversations...... I one speach I counted 5 time Obama said that phase........Enough already....

Hi foursox212, You are a breath of fresh air also, for mentioning Glenn Beck. My husband and I try to listen to him everyday (our work hours are night shift), so sometimes we can catch him on AM radio on the weekend. Yes, he is awesomely smart, and he's worked very hard to be where he is. If it weren't for him and Rush Limbaugh, we would not know the truth of what's really going on, and that would be a nightmare. I hope that Beck continues to give us the real scoop on things as long as possible. Thanks for bringing this topic along.

I agree with you foursox. Glenn Beck is a member of the mainstream media that isn't afraid to report what the rest of the mainstream media is afraid to report. He exposes corrupt politics for what is, gets to the bottom of issues and explains them in terms that people that don't often follow politics can understand. I used to enjoy O'Reilly for not ducking out of difficult situations, but as you say, Glenn Beck is a breath of fresh air that will call out both Republicans and Democrats if they deserve it.
