Are sterilized and distilled bottled water sold commercially are safe?

I remember seeing a program once about a guy that sold "Fresh" water in bottles...turned out he was catching rainwater off the roof of his buildings and bottling it...if ppl had known that, I doubt they'd have bought it. If you want the cleanest, purest water possible I'd say a natural spring would be the way to go. I remember when I was a child we visited a relative and they lived near a natural spring. The water was so clean and good...we drank buckloads of that water. These days most water is so full of chemicals and stuff that it's really not good to drink it. Of course, the water is very clean and sterile to maintain health. But, when there is a situation where you're forced to drink water that is not sterile.
