My son is 8 months old. He had all his shots at 1, 2, 4 and 6 months. I was just wondering if anyone knew when his next doctor visit should be. I was told either 9 months or 12????

For me, we took both of my kiddos in at their 9 months, then again also at the year mark. Perhaps you should call his doc to make sure!

Thanks for responding. Thats sounds about right too. His doctor doesn't give me any appointments, but I was just thinking I should take him at 9 months and 12 also.

You should take him for a 9 month check up, they don't give shots at that age, but they do perform an anemia test (at least they do in my state).

He needs to go for a nine months well baby checkup, then 12, 15, 18 and 24. My son just had his 15 month checkup a few weeks back. Even if he doesn't need shots you should take him for his nine months check.

At 9 months there isn't shots but you still go in for a WELL BABY check-up & then at 12 months you go in for another WELL-BABY and some Dr.'s give the shots between 12-15 months. My Dr. had me wait until she was 15 months for these shots. Then your next Well-Baby is at 2 years. There is a book out called What to Expect the First Year and Toddler years that has lots of valuable information.
