I am also from the Philippines. Here in Cebu we were able to feel strong winds and rough seas. Well, it hit our are in the evening so I was already at my house. I did some preparations like flashlight, extra battery and of course I monitored the situation through an AM radio. Luckily there was not much damage when the typhoon hit our area. There was a reported sinking of a small boat, luckily all of the passengers survive.

Yup same here in Manila but no strong rain and wind came during the night. Although there was a brief brownout in our place but it was restored back a few minutes later. I thought that was the start of the storm but we had a very quiet evening and only this morning did we experience the rains pouring but it still is not that strong and the signal was lowered already. It is ironic that when the storm signal was lowered only then we experience rains and some winds.

right at this moment, except for the cold air... the rain has stopped and no strong winds. unlike last night when it was really raining hard and lightning and thunder to match. it's pretty quiet today except for the occasional rains. although the classes for both elementary and highschool have been both suspended today in my city. i've seen in the news the floods caused by heavy rains of the typhoon feria. i really hope it won't get any worse. as for preparations, since we can't do anything about the typhoons, we could always have common medicines available at hand. during these times, colds, fever, cough and flu are pretty common.

I thought this typhoon feria will be really hit manila but thanks to God that it was not that way. As preparation, me make sure that there is enough food to eat inside the house. the roof are properly nailed, there are enough cellphone load for emergency calls. flash lights and candles are just there to grab in time of power failure. Its good to be prepared than not.

I'm also watching the news right now. The footages that they're showing on TV and the reports are scary. I'm really praying that Feria won't hit the country hard. It's already caused a lot of damage in many places. Many people are also stranded.

In every typhoon, we make sure that we have the flashlights ready, candles and matches. One that is very important is for us to have enough water in the tank. We would buy sardines for our meal because you do not have to cook it.
