It is so hot, we set up a Kiddie Pool!

We don't even have kids, but the people who lived in this residence before us left a kiddie pool. It is 9 ft round and about 18 inches deep with a air ring around it, along with a little pump and filter. A couple of weeks ago we decided to see if it had any holes in it. Sure enough the ring at the top still held air. We do not have any air conditioning, and it has been in the 90's here this week. So last night, I decided I was going to clean up that pool and set it up. Have you ever set up a kiddie pool, even if you didn't have kids? I am not worried about not having kids. I am just keeping cool. Do you think I'm crazy? LOL Would you do such a thing if you didn't have A/C and it was getting too warm for your blood?

That seems like a very good idea if you don't have A/C! I don't see anything wrong with it! You need to keep cool after all! It's a survival issue! :)

I love that idea! The people in my apartment building are always hogging the community pool anyway. I should just set out a kiddie pool outside the pool gate and make a statement! I think buying a kiddie pool with no kids is just this side of genius...and really funny.

Thanks for your most positive response in this discussion AmbiePam. I really appreciate your enthusiasm. Actually, we didn't have to buy the pool. A previous tenant had left it here, so we just decided to set it up. LOL Sorry it took me so long to respond. Hope you have a wonderful day!

hello kykidd, Why not, you can do anything what you want. It's your own money that you're spending and not others. Satisfaying your wants is all that matter. I wish we can have a pool too but it's impossible to have since we only have enough space for our house. Good for you for you have space. You should be lucky. Anyway, you can use that during summer.

Thanks Robert. Actually, we didn't have to spend any money on it, because it was at this house when we moved in. We just had to set it up. And we have a well, so we don't have to worry about the water bill. Just electricity to run the pump. And guess what, we finally got an AC put in the window, just in time for the 60 degree temperatures that hit us this week. LOL Thank you for your response in this discussion, and have a great day here on myLot!
