Last.fm is good for short bursts but even if you are a subscriber (like me) you can only listen to a certain number of songs before it shuts off. Something to do with copyright issues...I don't remember exactly, it was a forum discussion like a year ago. Jango.com is pretty awesome, once you get your "station" tailored the way you want it. You start by picking an artist ....well first, you create an account, then you pick an artist. Then they find other artists that are similar and you decide whether you want those artists to play on your station. I have three stations set up, a punk/rock station, an "old school" country station (Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, etc, plus some new old country like Gillian Welch and Neko Case), and a station I have deemed my homemade CMJ (College Music Journal) station. And once you have an account on Jango you can listen to other members' stations too. And you can listen all day or all night if you want.

well you can try last.fm .Its a pretty good site to listen to music while browsing the internet. The biggest advantage of this website is that you can find every single song in here so it's easy for you.Imeem is rather a slow site and moreover the quality of songs are not as good as compared to last.fm.

This may not be a real music site, but I do go to youtube to listen to some of my favorite bands. I also goto iLike and Last.fm. Those sites are pretty decent. Myspace is also a good one. I don't download as much music now. I usually buy the album at a retailer and just put those in my iTunes.
