We understand, as we grow older some of our body mechanism deteriorates and we need some food supplements to help our mechanism starts back its normal function. Have you known some good and proven food supplements? What are you taking up right now?

When i was always ill before, yes i took some food supplements like multi-vitamins for building my health. After my health had recovered, i had stopped taking them anymore. Now, i more depend on my natural daily food consumption. I think it's more healthy that way. After all, daily food consumption is more healthy than taking food supplements. Even my parents, seldom take food supplements. They only took food supplements when necessary...

Hello myfb good day. No. I think that's wrong conception. A man that grows older must have to take food supplement. As a man grows older his metabolism slows, his body strenght deteriorate compared to his younger years. He must need a good nutrients fo supply and maintain his good body condition. We can't get that all if we depend only on our regular food intake. We must need a supplement a food supplement...that's my opinion only..

Actually, i quite agreed with your ideas. But, when i told my parents about it, they will always said it's not neccesary daily consumption. They will always said, they will consume food supplements when neccesary. Because, my mother likes to boil chinese herbs soup, which is good for health, too. She boiled it, every once a week. Ever tried it?

I am 50 years old and have been taking supplements since childhood. I have never spent time in hospital and have been sick only a few times. I think it is important to keep up the immune system and keep inflammation down. For the immune system, I take vitamin C, ginseng, b-complex, echinacea (occassionally), honey. For anti-inflammation, tumeric, fish oil, vitamin e (natural only), glucosamine/condroitin. I think it is very important to only take vitamins from a natural source. The vitamins found in stores like: One-a-day and centrum are synthetic vitamins. Some studies show that these can actually harm you.
