LOREN LEGARDA: will she made it this time?

Philippines

Loren Legarda claimed that she won in the Vice Presidential race on the 2004 election. And She even leads the Senatorial race twice (or thrice? Correct me if I'm wrong. I believe she'll gonna run again this 2010 and she is one of my top choices aside from villar... Do you think, she'll gonna make it this time? Do you think her charisma will dominate on 2010? Speak out, let's help voter's out there to decide..

Though she has a charisma, my only issue to her is that she doesn't have a solid credibility on leadership. And she doesn't have any first-hand experience about the needs of masses w/c is the majority of the voters in the Philippines, and since she was born with silver spoon on her mouth this could mean she is elitist of some sort.

You have a point there syl... A rich person might not totally understand on what's the real need of the masses... But let me ask you something? Who do you think will be the ideal front liner for presidency?

I have a good vibes that either Noli De Castro or Manny Villar will have a close fight on 2010 elections, but let us not take for granted the influence of Jejomar Binay in Makati and the oppositions, he also has a voice and leadership skills the same with bayani fernando.

Loren Legarda is running for the vice president again? I don't think that she will make it. She may win if she runs for the senate but not for the vice presidency nor the presidency. She somehow lacks in something, for me. There are too many other candidates out there...

I just think that she lacks in her appeal to the general voting population. I see her as aloof and not too much approachable. And I know that most teachers are against her as she has proposed that teachers don't get paid for the months of April and May...

I understand what you are trying to say but I wonder if she really won last election... Aside from what you are trying to say is, what significant project that she has is the 'planting a tree' a thing which is not so popular to the masses because most of our countrymen right now are starving and they are interested more on jobs and livelihood projects. Anyway, thank you very much for a very nice response!

Being in the opposition right now, there are many from them that aspires to run and so far there are far more many others that are starting to rise from the roster of oppositionists. I think she should try again but if the opposition would chose another candidate respect it so that the opposition would have a better chance of getting a sole candidate and their vote would not be divided anymore.

I would be lovely also to see only two candidates to run on the election--- one from the administration's side and one from the opposition's side.. In that way, people can have the opportunity to choose on already chosed candidates from their respective party. If legarda will pave way to the chosen representative for the opposition.. she is truly a great leader... but if the party will choose her... They've made a good choice. Thanks for a very well said response!

Well that is the ideal scenario right now, but in our country there is always that run independent and those that run as nuisance candidates they always are part of the election process. Well I have no idea who they will choose they are really trying to keep it a secret to surprise each others camp when the time comes in until the next election comes.

I see... He is good though and he is so popular also when he ran as senator last election. Bu the thing is he is so young... he might not capable of doing the executive jobs and might be needed to surround himself by older advisers that you know, might cause problems at the end (just like what happen to former pres. Estrada) Anyway, Thank you for a very nice response!

and what will happened if she loose? will she be determined again to spend money on recount?! i hope this time if she loose, she would accept defeat.that's the problem of politicians now. they don't accept defeat, always reasoned out that they cheated, cheated and cheated...
