Close your eyes for a second?
What can you hear?
Is it coming from inside the house? 
Outside?
TV?
When I close my eyes, I can hear the birds that have nested outside my bedroom window, they are housemartins (I think)
Right now, thats all I can hear, it's abnormally quiet, but peaceful.
Soon I will hear kids as they will be coming home from school,
What can you hear?
is it a nice sound?

You ask the most interesting questions! I hear my computer fans humming, the air conditioner blowing (that's a beautiful sound with the 100+ deg heat we have), abd the sound of my dog quietly snoring. Whenever I'm on the computer, she sleeps on the couch behind me. I heard a car door across the street, but other than that it's been pretty quiet outside.

I'll swap temperatures and the air conditioner with it anytime. When I lived in New England there were maybe 5 days all summer when I would have liked air conditioning, but never had it. Wasn't worth it, plus growing up my family had a tradition of going out for ice cream for dinner. It was a rare treat and ended up not being so bad. Here in Oklahoma, it's been over 100 degrees, and there isn't an end in sight. What have your temperatures been like? What's normal for the summer there?
