Hey friends, Have you come across this wonderful novel?I just finished reading it and I don't have enough words of praise for it!!For a long time I haven't read anything written in such simple language and yet so enthralling. It has such power that it sucks you into its vortex and just doesn't let you out! It rouses every possible emotion in you. :-) I would like to know what you felt while reading this novel. Please post your reviews on the book if you have read it.

I haven't read the book but i have watched the movie of the same title which of course is based on the book. It was an eye opener. It talks about how far would you go in saving your friends and how far would you go to repay him. If was definitely one of the most heartwarming movie i've seen to date. I haven't read the book but i'm pretty sure the movie will not disappoint you. I highly recommend it to you.

Now that I have your recommendation I will surely watch the movie :) I'm also looking forward to reading Hosseini's other novel 'A Thousand Splendid Suns'.

I haven't read the novel myself yet, but my 17 year old daughter read it and she also loved it and thought it was amazing.

Athough I had not read the book, I watched the movie last year. It is a profound movie and let me know more about the Afganistan.

I read the Kite Runner a few months ago and absolutley loved it. The discussion of friendship and family was so powerful. Hosseini's descriptions of life in the two different worlds and the characters were fantastic. I couldn't put the book down! Hosseini wrote "A Thousand Splendid Suns". I haven't started it yet but I look foward to reading that as well.
