i love eating jackfruit but i didn't know it had a lot of benefits, it is rich in vitamins A,C,thiamin, riboflavin, calcium, potassium, iron, sodium, zinc, niacin and so much more. It has a low caloric content 100grams of jackfruit only contains 94 calories! It's a rich source of potassium with 303mg/100 grams of jackfuit. studies show that foods rich in potassium lowers blood pressure so those people suffering high blood pressure can eat jackfruit it also has phytonutrients which have anti-cancer,antihypertensive, anti-ulcer and anti-ageing properties Anybody who hasn't heard of this fruit must try it! :)

jackfruit - it is nutritious fruit
I love also eating jackfruit the aroma and the taste of it is good. I can eat half ot the size of it and I never get tired eating eat . I wish we have jackfruit in our backyard but we can't plant it here because we have a limited space. It is good also to add it in some dishes or in dessert. I upload picture of it so that others who don't familiar with this fruit would know what it is look like.

not only that jack fruit is good to eat. most Filipino traders who open a new business use or eat jack fruit on the day they open a store or new business. They say it brings good luck to the business because the attractive smell resembles attraction by customers. They believe that opening a jackfruit on the first day of business will help draw customers to the store.

I have never heard of this fruit and am curious as to what it looks like. We do have some fruits out here which I do not recognise but not sure what their name would be in the translation. Most importantly, does it taste good as it certainly sounds healthy.

I too love eating jackfriuts. It has a crispy texture and a wonderful aroma when ripe.Tastes deilicious when it is dipped in honey and eaten. It is found extensively in all knook and corners in summer season in india.Even the seeds of jackfruit can be eaten after cooking.once i indulged in overeating of the fruit due to its taste and the next day experienced great digestive disorder, cannot be expressed in words. From that whenever i see the fruit i keep a distance.

Thank you very much for bringing up this topic. I have fond memories of it, especially in my childhood, when we had a jackfruit in our garden. Of course, our city is a concrete jungle, it has become a rare sight to find a jackfruit tree. Yes, sure, jackfruit is available in the fruit shop, but it is nothing compared to having your own jackfruit tree.

I have never heard of this fruit. So being the curious person I am, I looked it up. I have not seen this fruit before either. I am not sure they sell it here in the United States, but next time I go to the store I will look for it. I am always out to try something new.
