india versus west indies one day series start tomorrow. what is your prediction?

If it was the case prior to T20 W, I would say India can win with more than 90% chance. Now I have doubt. They are broken after T20 debacle and also WI played well against India in T20. lets see.

Hm, tricky. Given their success overall, I'd say India will win - possibly by quite a large margin, as their game tactics could catch out an over-confident attacker. I'm not a betting person but if I was, that's where I'd place my tenner. Toadying up to my Mylot friends? Not a bit of it!

My money is on India to win the series, possibly 3-1 if not a 4-0 whitewash. Its going to be a difficult challenge though especially considering that West Indies are on a high from the World Cup. West Indies have done well in recent times with wins over top teams in T20. But I think India were a bit underdone in the World Cup and will want to make ammends. They have a strong team even without the like of Sachin, Sehwag and Zaheer. It will be a good test for India to see where they stand without big names. This series is also very important for Dhoni as a captain. He has done very well over the past two years, but unfortunately a few bad decisions and a few losses has turned everything upside down. This will be a good challenge for him to see how he can bring the team back together to perform as a unit. The players in this team will make up Indias future, so it will be interesting to see how they stack up against the pressure. Hopefully it turns out to be an interesting contest.

i probaly think that india will defeat west indies by 3-1 ...this world t-20 was completely fixed to finish extremists nonnsense in pakistan...that is why india lost because everything was set for this world t20 cup...and due to this reason only sri lanka and pakistan came in finales as sri lanka was attcked by the extremists in pakistan....otherwise india would have won it

I would rate this tour as a very close contest between India and West indies. West Indies is the only team that cannot be predicted on how it would play. When it is playing worst form suddenly they would outclass everyone.They have very class players like sarwan,bravo,chanderpaul and ofcourse the Big hitter Gayle.India on the other hand is currently in its worst form. But that was in T20.But in 50 over game India definitely has a advantage. In T20 India lost only because of its inability to play big shots that is , they played slowly.Thats of advantage in 50 over match where one has to play till the end. Though India has slight upper hand ,this one will be a very close encounter.But it can also be a easy victory for India as West Indies is the unpredictable team.

India going to rock buddy. We may not have a great batting lineup but still we will manage it with Ghambit, rohith yuvraj and karthik. I am not sure of Dhoni as his playing style got changed a lot. Looks like he is considered about his form and score .

The first match will be an important affair for both the teams as this will give them the upper hand and a mental satisfaction of kicking off to a winnin start. Though India is short of players like Tendulkar, Sehwag and Zaheer Khan, they have now got the urge to win. The shock exit from the World Cup might work in India's favour this time around as they will be all pumped up to get to a winning start. I think though West Indies might have outclassed team India in the T20 World cup 2009 and but we should not forget that team India is a very competitive team in the one dayers. But taking into account the players which are not available currently might have a big impact on the Indian team as even Sachin Tendulkar has taken rest from this series. If anything that the man with the midas touch as we say Dhoni is, has got to prove his critics wrong he should be making a statement by winning the series and with a 4-1 margin if it is a 5 match series (because exactly I don't know how many matches it will be having), as we all know Dhoni always allows the opponent team to save their mettle by not whitewashing their side in a series!!
