Sleeping has become a trouble with me as I am sleepless for the last many days! Its the sleeping patern which has got spoiled. Awakenings at night have become a habit with me and there is lots of disturbance for me. Unable to find solace I often open up my computer and start blogging or visit mylot, to freely express myself!

I think it happened to me when my kids are small. They used to get up in the middle of the night crying or for something else.I used to get up too.It takes little time to go back to sleep after that. But if we get up and start doing work we will never be able to sleep again.it becomes a habit.Best thing to do is just lay down eyes closing. Our mind and body both needs rest.it is that night time sleep.one cannot skip that, i think.

This is a really good discussion because sleep is very important when it comes to living and having energy, and I have always heard doctors say you need at least eight hours of sleep, but I think how much sleep is needed depends on each person and how active they are, some people might need eight hours, while others might need just three hours, and I can understand how everyone is different,I think that the amount of sleep varies depending on each persons lifestyle and activities, and when it comes to me and my fiance we usually vary on how much we sleep some nights we will get eight hours, some nights we will get five hours, some nights we might only get three hours because we could not sleep, but it never seems to hurt us,it only makes us get tired sooner if we sleep less, and we normally go to bed about midnight and she gets up at like nine a.m.,and I fall asleep about two a.m. and usually get up anywhere from ten thirty a.m. to eleven thirty a.m. just depending on how good I sleep and what all we have to do that day, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

well, if you are unable to sleep properly then either you are depressed and frustrated about something or you have some problems that are giving you sleepless nights. you need to relax and sort out your problems with a calm mind.
anyways exercise helps a lot in reducing such stress so you can follow an exercise regime.

Aww, that's bad!! You are employed and after a long day of hard work one need to give rest to the body and more importantly mind.
This happens with me and I am habitual now. I did a lot of research on how to sleep as it troubled me during my exams!
Look, one possible reason for this insomnia can be that you have it, borne into your mind that you won't be able to sleep. However, this doesn't seem to match with you, but this happened with me. If you think you will not be able to sleep, you'll definitely not sleep that very night!!
Second reason can be an over tiring day, when your body pains like anything, it won't allow you to sleep. Anxiety is another great cause for it.
There's a counting technique when you are spending sleepless nights.
Close your eyes, and start counting like 1,2,3 and so on. This won't divert your mind and you'll eventually go to sleep. This worked for me, you may want to give it a try. Good luck!!
