I just came across this phrase, "A diamond is a girl's best friends" and was curious to know why. Is it the girls love and trust inanimate objects more than any living person. Even if yes, why the advantages only to diamond? There are so many precious things like gold, silver, platinum, etc....

Yup you're right, but why only diamonds. As far as I know platinum ornaments are the most costliest. Why the prejudice towards diamonds only?

I got asked this question before too and have wondered since. The term diamond is a girl's best friend is perhaps because of its uniqueness. A diamond is unique and pure, just like how a woman should be. It is delicate and looks beautiful and especially gentle to see. Something about a very gorgeous aura and it looks especially gorgeous if a woman is to wear a diamond. This is what I think.. ;)

Wow, the characteristics of the diamond compared to a living girl. I hope every girl shows the same traits, then the world would be such a beautiful place.
