Hi, dear myLot friends. How many of you here have ever been camping before? If you haven't, I highly recommend it. Camping is a great way to get outside and enjoy nature. Camping is also peaceful and relaxing. Sadly, some people will never go camping because they are afraid they'll have to give up the comforts of home, like a hot shower, for example. For them, the word "camping" conjures up images of sleepless nights, smoky campfires and too many insect bites to count. Are you a passionate camper who enjoys the proximity to nature? Or are you a camping-phobe who hates the unsatisfactory conditions outside there?

I love the idea of camping but i have such bad luck with it, everytime i go something bad seems to happen or something happens to ruin my time, whether its wild animals or the weather im just unlucky in that area. However i am determined to have a good camping experience so i'm not giving up! it's a really good way to get away and have some fun with some friends in a natural environment

Sorry about your bad luck. What kind of wild animals have you ever encountered during your camping? Oh, was it a giant bear? Although exciting, it's still risky and dangerous if you went too far into a strange wild area. Making a plan before leaving always helps. Hope you'll finally experience a nice camping in the near future. Be sure to protect yourself and tell us more about the details. LOL

Yes ofcourse, camping outside is really cherishable event in everybody's life. One or the other day everyone of us enjoy camping in different times. campng amidst the nature gives a relaxation for dull routine life. We must admit that experiences of our campings will give immense pleasure when we are alone and remeniscent the old memories. It is nothing but William Wordsworth says " Bliss of Solitude".. . .

Camping experiences is reminiscent of the old memories. Nice quotes from William Wordsworth. You must know him very much to be able to quote him.

I love to go camping, but, we do go to a campground and stay up in the primitive area. They do have bathrooms and showers but you have to walk to them. There's nothing like a beautiful starry night, a great smelling campfire with goodies being cooked, animals walking around and visiting (we had about 30 skunks one year), fishing, clean air. I haven't been in years. Hopefully, someday, I'll get a chance to go and sit among the tree's and birds once again and enjoy the peacefulness. I really miss it terribly and now I miss it more because I'm talking about it. Good discussion, and it's nice to remember.

There's also a word called "glamping", which means "glamorous camping", referring to a camping experience with more comforts or luxuries, like nice house and shower place. I'm so happy to arouse the good golden memories of your camping experience.

I was used to be a scout when i was in highschool and we always go for camping every year at least 4 times. It was the best and most memorial experience for me for sure since we started only in school compound and slowly and gradually we moved into the jungles and mountains and recently the last camp we had was deep in the forest somehere 9 hours distant from the city.It was a bit challenging but it was fun to be there since it is so peaceful and there are no others but us.No one freaked out and wanna go back.Upon reaching we set up our camps and started to get ready for dinner since it was dinner time and boy oh boy it was great and everyrone should have gone camping once a life.

hi wmfhed! I enjoy camoing very much! The best camping experience I have was at SAGADA Philippines! We conquer the mountains, rivers, falls, and caves! Its a kind of experience that is very different from the usual things you do on city. I enjoy the food and appreciate the beauty of nature we have. It gave me a peace of mind and time to unwind. Camping is also a way to meet new friends and solidify friendships and unity. =)

Good to hear your experience in SAGADA Philippines! The trip sounds colorful. The camping experience is surely different from city life. It enriches your life and makes you feel that you are more powerful and energetic. Besides, it helps to form a concept of appreciating nature and all of the good things in the world.

Since I am already close to nature, I don't need to sleep in a tent to feel one. My house is surround by trees and we have orchard in the backyard. I already feel like camping. That's one of the good point staying in a village.

Hi, wmfhed, and everyone else! I Love to camp! Unfortunately, at this time, I'm the only one in my family who feels that way. I go off with my puppy and my parrot, sometimes for days at a time, to the beach or out on the Olympic Peninsula (WA State). I especially like camping at Ocean Shores State Park. There are very nice tent sites, close to the facilities; a short walk to the dunes and beach; and there are always nice people to be met and tidepools to play in. My son (21) is one of those people who absolutely hates to camp out; hates the bugs; hates the ground; hates eating outside anywhere, anytime! I took him camping a few times when he was little, but he never enjoyed it. He liked seeing places like Yosemite and The Grand Canyon, but he never liked the camping part. It's all good, though...my pets are all I really need to have fun!
