When I do laundry I, my husbands socks are always inside out. So when I'm folding them I have to turn them the right way. Well, this morning I'm folding the socks and I realize I'm turning them to be inside out. I forgot that we bought him new socks last night and he hasn't had a chance to wear them yet! Do you make sure your socks are the right way before you launder them or do you have to turn them the right way afterwards?

My husband seems to sometimes have the inside out problem too. If I notice, I'll turn 'em the right way before I wash. My big problem is his t-shirts. I turn every single shirt the right way before laundering, so I can see all the spots that need pre-treating. So why, why, why, when I take them out of the dryer, are they ALL inside out?!!! Ack! MY t-shirts don't flip themselves around like that... only HIS!

I don't do anything before washing - except his work shirts I do pretreat the collars. But his t-shirts are always backwards. You have a strange washing machine!!!!

What I actually do is to just let them be during soaping and I turn them inside out when I'm hanging them to dry. So as dust and dirt won't be on the side that can be seen in case it falls or something. I do that to the clothes as well. Then when it's dry, I turn them back to how they are. It's also because I sun-dry them, so if it's the inside going outside, the sun would be able to heat it up and kill the 'germs'.

That make sense. I don't hang mine out to dry, but if I did I might do it that way too...

I turn mine right way out as soon as i take them off. Often in the summer they have grass or dirt stuck to them and when i wash them it just seems to puddle in the toe if they are inside out.

I do my own when I take them off - for the same reason you do. But my husband doesn't and I've told him that if he wants them cleaned that way then that's fine with me!

I wished I could remember to do that,it is such a pain. All my sons socks are different shades of black as are my husbands. It takes me ages to pair them up.As I am colour blind it is a real pain.Having a really bright light laying them all on the bed ,it takes me ages.
