We should exchange contracts on the house transactions this afternoon

I'm sitting here waiting for the phone to ring to let me know that it has happened as planned. There have been some hold-ups, and I'm praying nothing else is going to raise its ugly head and cause another delay. All being well we shall be moving in three weeks, and even though we have been packing boxes for a few weeks now, there will still be an awful lot to do. I will try to keep tabs on your responses, and any tips on how to cope will be more than welcome. But I suspect that, just like in the past week, I won't get in here much over the next month or so. So please forgive me if you don't get responses from me for a while.

I hope all went well and that you will be moving soon. Are you moving a long way? I have found that long moves are harder then short ones, where you can return to the old house easily. Good luck to you.

Thank you Pat. We are not moving very far. It will be around an hour's drive from here.

Thanks Tamara. Our moving date is 17 July so we have a few more weeks to prepare.

I sincerely hope that everything is going OK for your exchange of contracts. I know that feeling only too well - we exchanged an moved in Mid April, but that was after losing our first sale due to the credit crunch and waiting over a year to eventually find a buyer. However, all turned out for the best, because we bought the house that we couldn't have afforded before the credit crunch.. So everything is for a reason, but we don't always see it that way! Good luck! - Derek
