Well, I will say you can start by doing your research first. First, look around eBay for the most watched, or items which are bidded on eBay by lots of people. Look at how they post their items, i.e. how they phrase their title, the description of the item, the pricing etc... In addition, you can also check out on eBay if anyone's selling the same items or similiar items as those items which you intend to sell. Look at how they market the products, and the price of the item they have set at. In addition, do also check if anyone managed to sell the similiar items for the past 6 months, and the price they had sold at for guideline on the pricing you can set at. Another important point to succeed is the photos. Do attach some pictures of the items you are selling.

I don't use ebay to sell merchandise so I can't help out there. My friend does though. The thing is to find something rare. Items like doujinshi (Japanese fan comics) and rare magazines usually sell. A sneaky tactic some people use is selling an item for cheap but setting the shipping at an outrageous price!
