Have people wrong when they say that tomatoes are vegetables? and why?are tomatoes fruits? Thet wrong again when consider wine alcohol, and in fact wine is food?why?

Hi, i know, but i want to know what people think about this? in culinary way, tomatoes are vegetables, but science say that tomatoes are fruits...why?
