When famous people die

I think it is so interesting in today's super information world what happens when famous people die. I am glad Michael Jackson enjoyed the spotlight. I hope where ever he has gone, he was able to stick around to enjoy the one hat is going on right now. I was not a fan, I really didn't have much contact, I heard the rumors and the hype, but dismissed that as not being proved, I had feeling for the man, I felt terrible sorry that he was influenced by people that lead him into the plastic surgeon. Seeing the pictures of him as a young man has just reinforced that feeling. That he had talent was never in doubt, was his manager or who ever advised him wise, I just couldn't see much evidence of that. Blessings

Hi, Pat! I think MJ will take his place for the future as a truly great talent. However, I hope all the junk about his personal life will sort of fade away. He clearly had unfortunate advice, or maybe he was just pig-headed enough not to follow advice given. He changed a whole lot of things. He was the first black male accepted by ALL media. His songs brought out a lot of discussion that really needed to come into the open. His dance style changed dance forever, and began the modern dances everyone does. He was, indeed, one of the all-time greatest entertainers. Sadly, he was a terribly troubled person, and that reduced the respect he was given by most people. May he rest, finally, in peace.

One of the articles in my local newspaper said that it is perhaps a good time for him to leave the world as many would have bad things to say about his behaviour and life tainted by the mistakes he made. Perhaps his mission on earth has ended.

Another great talent whose life ended tragically. I wonder what happened to the cute, talented little boy that turned him into the man that he became. I don't suppose we'll ever know the full story...

I, too, have feeling for Michael Jackson, and followed his career closely, as I loved his music and his dancing. I have researched a lot, and most of his plastic surgery was his own desire. So much talent, but so much pressure from an abusive father...he missed his whole childhood. (These are his own words from interviews he has done.) Above all else, I think he was brilliant, but also a terribly shy and tortured soul beneath it all. I hope he is finally at peace. Karen
