It seems both are similar but what difference do you see between them.

Pleasure comes from outside sources or stimuli. Happiness comes from within. My personal belief is that happiness begins with gratitude...there's always something to be grateful for...always

Pleasure is temporary, in my opinion. It doesn't last as long as happiness does. And I think "pleasure" can also be in terms of physical things - rather than happiness, which is regarding all things. If this makes sense.

Nice question friend. If you ask me then I will say that these are two different things.Pleasure is something related to the senses. And happiness is actually related to our mind and heart. While pleasure is a temporary thing whose effect passes away quickly, the feeling of happiness can be made permanent if we wish and it will then be permanent. Most of the times we keep seeking pleasure rather than happiness and hence we are sad and unhappy more often in our lives.

Great topic. A person becomes happy when something gives him pleasure. Pleasure is a feeling of first instance (may be physical and related to senses like smell, touch, etc) and happiness is a feeling of second instance. that means happiness comes after you feel the pleasure. Happiness is always inside; however pleasure can be inside or outside. One should understand that happiness and pleasure are inherent in our soul/mind and are related to each other. Happiness and pleasure cannot be separated. One example of all this is peace of mind, which is a pleasure and ultimately it makes you happy. Enjoy life !!!

thanx for response yes happiness do come after pleasure...but..its not always the same. i just realised something.. happiness do come after pleasure but its not always the same. Only if there is satisfaction after the pleasure there is happiness else the desire for more creates the void and we are left unhappy. So it is important to have satisfaction, to be happy.
