Punishments for child offenders

It might sound unfair, but totally, I definitely believe this! I think it takes a certain .. psychosis to hurt someone as small as a child. And another thing is that a child doesn't really have a lot of ways to defend themselves against an adult. It's an unfair advantage, if you ask me. Maybe that's just me, but I think they SHOULD receive a harsher punishment.
