Tonight I saw a travel commercial about Israel, it made it look so perfect and peaceful. The political topic section seemed like the best section to post my question because people on here know whats going on over there, so would you go on a vacation to Israel, now, if you could? If so, then why? If not, then please explain why not? and what do you think about people promoting traveling there? I personally would not because it seems like there is a lot of craziness over there just to put it simply, and I wouldn't want to take a chance.

Not really. I want to take a trip to Europe or Japan right now, but I don't have the money.

I really hope to go to Tokyo sometime in my life, but it is very expensive. I hear that it is very safe as well, and I can't remember hearing anything negative about Japan's politics lately.

I wouldn't go the Israel because I have already been. I don't see anything wrong with promoting travel there. Tourism helps their economy just as it helps ours. We were in London once when the IRA was bombing that city. Now a days, there's no guarantee any place is safe.

My husband used to work in Israel, and he told me to never live in a country where they shoot at you. Considering the current situation, I would nt want to go there right now. Mind you, I am much more interested in taking a vacation in Croatia. I know there were problems there too, but things seem pretty settled right now.
