I believe in and serve the living God. I was raised Church of Christ, but I now attend a Mennonite church. The Amish came from the Mennonites. I don't like to use a man made title, so I don't call myself "Mennonite". We try to stick to everything the New Testament tells us to do.

I just want to add one more comment about “believing” in God. Just believing with your mind and knowledge, is ‘not’ what the word believe means as it is stated in the scriptures. The Bible says that even the devil “believes” AND TREMBLES, but he will not be in heaven. (see New Living Translation James 2:19) You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. It takes more than mental acceptance to become a child of God. One must accept, and invite Jesus Christ into your heart, and when you do that, God plants the very seed of His nature and character within your human spirit, and as you nurture this “relationship” – you’ll begin a brand new way of living. It will just become a part of you – not through a bunch of rules and regulations – but through reading your Bible to learn more about God, and through prayer and having fellowship with other believers, which can come through church – home Bible studies or even watching services on the web.

I read the whole Bible too. 2 Timothy 3:16 says it's all given by God, and used for teaching and correcting. The old testament contains the old covenant (the first five books of the Bible) and how people lived under it. There is a lot of Godly teaching in there, and things we can use in our lives for today. The new testament is the covenant we are under today, and that's what we follow, although we still go to the old testament for advice and history.

Yes, I do believe in God. I attend a non-denominational church. It is Church of God, the one from Anderson, IN. It is the same type of church Bill and Gloria Gaither are from. We are a holiness church teaching only Bible doctrine. No man made doctrine.

I would rather go by Gods word then man made words. But who doesn't have a man made bible? Have you ever thought God put certain people out here to rewrite the bible for people to read? I read the Holy bible new international version. I know ever reading his words out of man made bible he still heals people. Because he has me. God bless and have a good day.

Yes, what I mean is that we don't believe in teaching anything other than what is written in the Bible, which is God's word, which by the way was not authored by man, but authored and inspired by God. He just used people to write the words down on paper, but He inspired every word of the Bible, which is why it is without error. By man made doctrine, I mean we don't teach laws or beliefs that are interjected or in addition to what is in the Bible. Man has often decided to take what they believe and teach that in addition to God's Word, and sometimes it can be contrary to the Bible. It is strictly God's word that we teach. :)

I understand what you are talking about now. That is the way we are. We are taught Gods word only to written by him. I like learning more and new things that God has to say in his word all the time. I love reading the bible everyday and reading the bible to my kids. I have always read the bible to my kids every night before they went to bed.

Yes, I believe in God. I was born and raised as a Methodist, but after experiencing a 'born again experience' through accepting Jesus as my personal Saviour, my spiritual eyes were opened, and I realized that there was a lot more to the spiritual side of life, that I just wasn't learning about within the Methodist church. So I began to pray for guidance and search out various churches where I could learn more. Today (over 40 yrs. later), I am flourishing spiritually within a non-denominal church that just teaches what the Bible says, and how to apply those teachings to my own life. It's a wonderful church with a very loving congregation, and they have really showered me with love and care, since the recent passing of my husband of over 50 years. Have a blessed week, and a great July 4th celebration

I agree there is lots to always learn about God. That is why I like to listen to preaching. My mom has always taken us to church. And I like to listen to Kenneth Copeland,Jessie Duplantis and a couple more preachers online that are very good. I am glad to hear God guided you to the right church and you are learning more about him. Its always nice to be in a church and make great Christian friends there and that they are loving people. That is a long time to be married congratulations to you. And I am sorry that he had passed away. Have a great July 4th to. God bless you.

i believe in God absolutely, i used to be so regular to church and reading Bible. we used to have prayer meet every Wednesday in our house, On all national holidays my parents would go to church. on they were also doing ministry. But now we decided to be an example as christian than going to church and be religions. " love one another, for love is of God" that is what i decided to be. if you ask what they teach. Different church says different things. they tell their own views about God. i believe that God loves every individual, high class, low class, rich, poor, literate, illiterate, good, bad.. everyone.. so just love one another and be happy. try to forgive each other and forgive yourself. i used to find really hard to forgive, but im just fighting for it. God wants us to loving and happy. that is what i have learned. good luck

I have done the same thing you and your family did. I read the bible everyday and I go to church on Sundays and Wednesdays. I love to pray. There are some holidays we go to church on. I still read the bible a lot at home. I have a church down the road that I go to. Forgiveness is the hardest thing for people to learn to do. And God does love everyone good or bad and know matter what color anyone is.. God bless and have a good day.

There are people that don't go to church and there are others that do go to church because they want to learn more about God. I read the bible everyday and listen to programs on the internet from the preachers I like to listen to. And they preach rather well.
