A friend of mine and I were talking one day about using wax crayons to make multi-coloured candles. That's my next project. When my daughter and I clean out her drawer we are going to collect all the broken crayons and melt them down to see how it'll work for candles. I'll let you know how they turn out.

hey!! i definitely have manything to do with candles. Actually its a hobby of mine to make them. I had a contract once for supplying white candles for a wedding ceremony and i made a huge profit. i try to mould them in different sizes, scents, and shapes and sometimes gift them to friends on occasions. I just like them.....

I love making candles. I used to sell them at craft shows before the economy killed any profit in it. As for an idea when I lived closer to the beach we would make sand candles. This can be done with art or sand box sand I guess. all you need to do is make and interesting hole in the sand stick in a wick (it will stand on it's own) and pour in the hot wax. Let sit for an hour or so and there you go a really cool free form candle with a textured side as the sand will stick a bit. The same can be done in the snow!
