New Gas Meter

Have you been told by your energy supplier that you need a new gas meter?
I've just had a letter from Eon saying that they need to put in a new meter and that I should contact them to tell them when I want them to do it.

Nope, my landlord might have though, but I only pay electric to him, gas I get a bill for, but actually I'm with British Gas who conveniently forgot to send me a bill between December & April, then sent a reminder, so I might have supposed to have had one. Do you do online bills, cos you can email them and find out :-)

Check this out before arranging a date for change. I think I saw something about this on either the One Show or Watchdog but can't remember the gist of it.
