does anyone else feel the same way? i got an expensive ice cream maker recently, and i really regret it! in order to make ice cream with this machine, i need milk, heavy whipping cream, and flavors like vanilla or mint extract. the killer is the heavy whipping cream, even on sale the cheapest i can find it is $2. whereas i can go to target or walmart any time and buy cheap yet good ice cream for about $2.50 a carton. plus there are more flavors to choose from, and it tastes like real ice cream as opposed to my ice cream which has a weird foamy texture. is there anything cheaper i can make with my ice cream maker so i can get some use out of it?

cream - ice cream
As for me I don't buy expensive Ice cream maker. If the purpose is to make ice cream to start a business then you really have to buy expensive ice cream maker. But if only for your own or family consumption then it's a waste of money. Big companies the are ice cream maker had secret recipe how to make delicious and yummy ice cream. If you are attempting to copy one then you will meet failure. It's better to buy a commercial made ice cream because you can eat it in an instant with out requiring much ingredients and much time for preparing it. Have a nice day!

I don't think anything can beat commercially made ice-cream but that is just my opinion. i think we all buy things somtimes that we are a little sorry for afterwards, I recently bought a mulcher and now when I think of all the hard work involved it would have been better if I had have just bought a lot of bags of mulch for my garden...

No, I don't have that machine. Anyway it is waste of money if you don't enjoy doing it and you don't have the purpose why you purchase it. Don't make ice cream if you really don't need it. Yes it is expensive because you need a lot of ingredients. But if you prefer not to use it and you feel it is waste of money. Try to resell it.
