Airsoft game:a hobby or a habit?

To all airsoft players and any interested parties,is playing airsoft a hobby or a habit?My boyfriend is very addicted on playing airsoft..He invests a lot in buying expensive airsoft guns, parts and accessories. He even bought uniform and the like.
Does the benefit you get in playing airsoft worth all the effort,time and financial expense?

in airsoft you dont use bullets you use plastic balls and shoot them at each other with 250-550 fps
