hi friends.today i woke up and turned to the news channel and they started a debate titled is ODI matches are relevant in this T20 era? to be shocked is the least i thought. [b]i always thought that with this new stinking format, test matches will suffer but it didnt hit me that ODI matches will also suffer. the host asked the special guests only one big question. did they watched the match throughout the 100 overs?.2 said no and one said yes and even that guy said it was boring. i didnt watch the match fully because i had to go to a class at 6 am and i dont want to stay awake till 4:30 in the morning to watch the game. so i ask the same questions did you watch the match fully? if u did,did u find it boring?

I saw the first twenty overs of the Indian innings and close to twenty over of the west indies batting innings and i did not find either of them noring. actually the match only got better after the first twenty overs of india's batting when yuvraj singh was smacking the bowlers. i do not know who these people are who found the match boring especially when yuvraj scored such a good century and the west indies came so close to winning when everyone though the match was beyond their reach after chanderpaul got out. Even i thought now west indies will be easily packed off by the bowlers but it got even more interesting after chanderpaul got out.

i do not listen to what yashpal sharma has to say much. he is always talking something on some news channel i think. srikanth will of course say it as likes t20 cricket more as he is the mascot of chennai superkings. menon is a cricket writer so no more than a cricket fan like you or me.

I did not. very frankly not because its 50-50, but the timing was odd at night. I can;t wake up so late. But I like 50-50 more than 20-20.

i watch india's batting completly.after that i gone to bed. it was very very boring. the match timing in india is a problen to me ,otherwise i might have .... after the discovery of 20-20 the sprit of 50-50 had decreased. we have to spend only 3-4 hours for a 20-20 match . for odi more time has to be spend.more peoples like to watch 20-20.

Well no, probably i just watch the first half of the innings and then switch of the TV. but i now really find ODI boring cant really wait and watch till the 50th over is bowled.......I think the T20 format is certainly taking lead here, as more than a game people are taking it as an entertainment option now.......they like to watch the thrill, the excitement, the big hits, hatrick wicket for the bowlers, which is not usually a common sight in ODI. its is a slow and subtle game.,......so what do i say, I love T20 as it is fast and you get to see the results fast as nobody today has the time to spend so much of time to watch a match......

T20 has dealt a huge blow to the 50 overs game. After three months of nonstop T20's,50 over cricket has become so dull that I was able to watch only 5/6 overs in both the matches. It is high time they limit this manic T20 if 50 over cricket is to survive.

ofcource i saw full 100 overs match...but in some cases if result is obvious i miss them...the new trend of t20 will not affect 50 overs match in any way..even though t20 is fast racy and action, its 50 50 game which tests team capacity..even a single person can turn tables in t20,but thats rare in 50 format.moreover many of my friends are still reeling in 50 format only...so no way this 50 format would be affected.

Hi stardustcdsd, you seem to be a cricket fan just like me.Well, frankly speaking the time is not a big constraint for me.This is my holiday time and I can awake as much as I want because I do not have to go to colleges early morning next day. But,for me now,50 over one day internationals are so boring,I love to see twenty twenty more.I do not have enough stamina to watch a full 50 over game now.

No i didnt see first one day international fully. Now a days ODI is boring after the grand intro of T20 matches. ODI itself boring then what about Test matches. I think Test matches should be stopped.

Hello friend, I do agree that an ODI series at this time of the year, that too in the WI was totally uncalled for and people would have lost interest. Even i did not watch it but that was for a different reason. I was in train at that time. However, now I am at home and the second ODI is going on. Still, i'm not watching it, just keeping a track of the score.

Yaaap, Now a days ODI matches are getting boaring. Now our value of time is getting important, so we don't waste our time to seeing full match. I don't see full ODI matches of IND vs WI.

well i skipped the last part of the match beacuse it was getting to late and i had office the next day and so i think i have a valid reason to say that i was not bored but i skipped the whole match. plus i knew west indies cannot win the match when chanderpaul got out. but yes i never believed that the match would be so close. i mean west indies did play well to get that close to 339. this means they can win tight match its just one day a team is better than the other by a small margin

I only watched the first half of the game. I gone to sleep after Indian Innings. I don't like to see the full match. Also the Indian seems to be win the match because of good score. So, I gone to bed. I came to know India won the match only at early morning.
