I think the hardest, but best job out there is being a Mama!!! I never knew how quickly and how much I could love someone until I delivered my first daughter. Then it happend all over again when I had my second daughter. My girls are my life and I can't imagine anything ever happening to them. My heart absolutely goes out to those who lost a child. I feel, like others do probably, that I need to do everything in my power to protect them. I struggle at times wondering if decisions I make are for the better. It's helpful to hear what others think though. One thing that I tend to struggle with is whether or not to vaccinate them against the Flu Virus. Neither me nor my husband was ever vaccinated, and we are fine. I feel like since each year they create the vaccince while predicting what the next flu strain will be, each person who receives the vaccine is a guinea pig. Doctors will tell you that it's safe, more people die from the flu then the vaccine...blah blah blah. They list the side effects, but also tell you they more then likely won't happen....I want to know how often they happen. I'm wondering what others think about this vaccine?

I don't know anything about this vaccine but I know what the words mama could mean. I have 2 children and they are all my life above all now that my husband left us because he wants to live another life, a single life . He came back to his horrible mother who helps him to act against me. That is another kind of mama.

I definitely agree that it maybe the hardest but its the most fulfilling job in the whole wide world. Once you get through giving birth it marks the beginning of hardship but it becomes the most happiest days of your life. I am loving these days where my son is going to school and when he gets home he tells me all about school. There is definitely nothing that we can compare the commitment we have in taking care of our children. Nurturing them and guiding them are very challenging but I am spending a really great time with my son. I can honestly say that I understand now why my parents were that way when I was with them. It's all out of the love of parents to their kids.

I am among those who have lost a child. There was absolutely nothing that ccould have been done to prevent it from happening, it was God's will. I also have a total of four other children; three that are biologically mine and one that came into my life when my husband did. I love all of my children and would go to the ends of the earth to protect them from anything and everything. That being said, if the flu vaccine would help prevent them from becoming ill and possibly save their lives, I would have them vaccinated. As it is now, I haven't had to get them vaccinated against the flu because they all have strong immune systems and thankfully have been able to fight off any type of flu that they have ever had without much problem. I would have them vaccinated though if their doctor felt it was necessary. I look at it this way, I am a Mom and I do trust my instincts when it comes to my kids, but there are some things that I don't have that much knowledge about. When it comes to things reguarding their health, I have to objectively listen to the professional and then make my decision from there. The flu virus changes all the time, so it is almost impossible for one vaccine to protect anyone from every strain. Right now, with the swine flu going around as it is, I think that if my doctor told me that there was a vaccinr that would protect them 100% from getting it, I would have them vaccinated in a heartbeat.

I think that we all have to make the decision for ourselves and go with what we believe is right for our families. We do not get the flu shots, I am just not crazy about putting that many chemicals etc into my childrens bodies.

I've seen the Oprah show one time and there was a vaccine that triggers autism. I wrote it down so when I'll have a child i'll avoid it. Its the Thimerasol Vaccine... its just too bad that doctors don't listen to mothers. The mom there who has been interviewed observed the sudden change to his son after he's been vaccinated. He used to be active and responsive and now he doesn't look at her or even laugh at all. Its really scary if that's the case I won't let my child be a guinea pig of a new vaccine. The painful fact though, there's nothing you can do about it anymore.

In my own opinion, the vaccine could help, but how about those people who can't afford.Aren't we have any solution rather than predicting what flu virus is next in line. For us mother's its not that easy to think of the safety measure for our kids, and delighted to have those Doctor's who help us,but aren't they find any vaccine for major FLU VIRUSES..For now i think proper hygiene, good nutrition is the best solution.

I haven't ever gotten my children vaccinated against the flu. My kids are reasonably healthy. Very rarely do they get sick so it's not a big worry for me. They get the vaccines for other stuff at school as they go on. Those are the big ones that they need. The flu doesn't scare me. LOL. I'm worried about overloading my children with stuff they don't really need anyways.

Hi there i have one daughter also she was 19 months old now. When i give birth to her, i can't express myself, i am the most happiest person well aside from his papa. I am thankful that she was healthy and grow up beautiful and smart. Well my daughter has complete vaccination since birth until now. About the flu virus i dont have any idea about that. I dont know if its the same with flu vaccine that was given once a year. Anyway, i always want to prevent my daughter in any harm maybe i should try it if the doctor suggest to do so. Hope i make sense here, happy mylotting and keep on posting good discussion =)
