Friends, I have windows Vista in my laptop and I want to install windows XP in the secondary partition. While installing it is giving errors and not getting installed after copping in dos mode. In GUI mode the option is disabled. Is it possible to install XP on Vista or not. If yes How?

first enter bios setup and set compatibility mode, Presumably the compatibility mode is for SATA running in IDE compatibility mode. so that xp can detect your harddrive.. then install xp.. but usually xp wont be having drivers for your system and so you have to download them manually from your laptop makers site incase if driver for xp is available.. but i have heard many saying they dint find drivers for xp..
