There are several signs of gold digging that I know, can you add some more? 1. She struggles to become financially independent from her parents 2. She is using her guy as an invaluable tool for success 3. She's overwhelmed when her guy provides her material gifts 4. when she drops a hint that she's having a trouble paying in her bills 5. It is when she believes that she's associated with other special or high status people/institutions.

Hmmm.. Some of those I have to disagree. Gold-diggers are those who depend on their significant other (or someone else) for money and status. And they make it their life goal to meet someone rich - and live off them. Like Manny Pacquiao's wife is not a gold digger because she was there when he was poor (right? I don't really know. I'm assuming). But if she were to have married Manny when he got rich, then she's definitely diggin' that gold. FOR SURE! Your # 1 reason (struggles to become financially independent from her parents) - I AM "struggling" to become financially independent from my parents. I don't live in their house anymore because I bought my own, but they still help me out. I have well-paying job, my own car, etc. Am I digging their gold?

No, what I meant on that line is that gold diggers tend to get into a relationship just to become financially independent in their family.

For me, you're a gold digger if you only choose a man with money and high status in society. Like you going to marry the rich filty old man coz of his money. What you after is someone's wealth to secure your financially needs and to provide luxury in your life.
