This movie is easily one of my favorite 80s movies ever. I definitely like it a lot more than some movies that come out today. For anyone who has never seen it, it's a movie about a group of five teenagers from very different walks of life. Eeach character is pretty much a representation of every or at least nearly ever high school clique you can think of. There's the bad boy/criminal, the jock, the princess, the nerd, and the 'weird' kid. The movie takes covers eight hours of a Saturday that the teens must spend together due to being in detention for one reason or another. Bender, the 'criminal', was my favorite character. I've read before that originally they had planned on doing at least on sequel to it but for some reason the sequels never came to pass. How many people have seen this movie? Are there any other fans out there? Who was your favorite character?

I loved The Breakfast Club too. It is really one of my favorite movies. My favorite character was the Judd Nelson/Bender character too. I had never heard of the sequels to be made. I don't think it is something that could be done now as too many years have passed between then and now. I loved all of the John Hughes movies in the 80's. I was a teenager when they came out and I still love watching them to this day. Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

John Hughes did have some pretty good movies during the 80s and early 90s. As for the sequels, the sad thing is that I've read that John Hughes has even stated he would never work with Judd Nelson again after The Breakfast Club. I don't know if that's true or not or even if it is, if John Hughes still feels that way though.

I think that was one of the best movies of the 80's. "Sad and demented, but social" I don't think I could pick a favorite character if I had to. They were all so different and wonderful. It is one of those movies that I have seen so many times, I can turn it on when it is on cable in any spot and feel like I have watched the whole thing. Those movies of the 80's, like Pretty in Pink and St Elmo's Fire, gave these young actors their start. I don't think any of them are still acting. They did some good stuff while they did though. Oh, that is wrong! Molly is the mom on that ABC family show where the teen girl just had a baby. I can't remember the name. I tried to watch it because of Molly but just couldn't get into it.

It's definitely one of the better movies I've seen over the years. It's a perfect example of how good characters and a simple story can make an excellent movie. I wouldn't say I'm a fan though, at least not in the true sense of the word. I can't say I have a favorite character either. Each one complimented the others so well that no one character really outshined the others.

I love the Breakfast Club. John Hughes really is a genius (although he has had laid his share of eggs over the years, Beethoven's 5th). It's a very close tie between Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller's Day Off for which one is my favorite John Hughes movie.
