Yesterday my boyfriends sister had a baby shower. All the kids were inside so i went outside and was talking with my boyfriends gramdpa . I complained about the heat and he told us about before they had air conditioners , he worked on the 17h floor . He had to bring at least 3 pairs of cloths a day and when he got to ho in one he would take it off and put on the other on and hang it out to dry on clips . Do you think that we are spoiled ?

No actually that was kinda smart. I mean if you know that you are getting to the point that the clothing is becoming wet on you it is smart to take it off and put on dry clothing. First of all, the dry clothing will make you feel cooler and that will make you work better and longer. And hanging the clothing out to dry keeps them in good shape. If it was that hot and you get hot that fast and the first set of clothing is not dry yet it is good to have that third set of clothing. Yes I think your grand pa was very smart and not spoiled at all. He was probably able to work better and longer than other that didn't do what he did.
Now me I am spoiled! We have central air conditioner in our home and I still have a in window air conditioner for my room because I like my room very very cold. That's spoiled and I admit it. My room is at least 59 degrees every night to sleep and I use two comforters on my bed to keep me warm. I know it is silly, but I just have always liked it that way. I guess it is because I grew up in cold places like Minnesota.

I definitely think that we are spoiled in a lot of different ways. Not just with air conditioner, but with having lots of food, and with the way we take care of our clothes, our bathing, etc. I've always heard that it was never as hot years and years ago, but I think that has to do with global warming. The fact that people didn't have air conditioners back then, I think has a lot to do with the way they relate to it not being as hot, or some who think it was hotter, etc.
