I just got a mobile home. I do not have it moved to my property yet, but am working on getting it here. It does need just a little bit of work done on it. The thing i am looking at, is this, with just a little work, i have a nice house to live in. No payments, and no mortgages.

a mobile home - what is a real mobile home? is it one on a bus or car? or was it movable? it is new to me.
Hello Shirley. I am interested in the mobile home in your discussion. It is the first time that I have ever heard of such a home. I searched for some photos of mobile homes and find that a mobile home seems to be one that is either installed in a car, truck, or one that is movable from one place to another. Is it like this? If so, I think that it is very interesting to have one made like this. I like it as I can choose to move the house anywhere I like. I wish to see one of the photos of your mobile home next time when you have finished the little work you mentioned in the discussion. Looking forward to see it with keen interest. Enjoy your life, friend.

This mobile home is about 70 feet long, i think. 2 bedroom, 1 bath, living room, kitchen and dining room. It just needs a little work done on it, but yes, it is a full sized mobile home. Not anything that would fit on a truck or car. It has to have a mobile home truck just to move it. I do believe it will be well worth the effort to get it moved in. The back hoe was here today, and cleared out a lot of the stuff, that i would have otherwise had to do by hand. I sure am thankful too, that he did so much work with that back hoe. I will do a hub when my house gets in, and well, i would like to get it cleaned up, and do a little work, before i do the actual hub on it.

This sounds like a very good deal on your part. Our vehicles will be paid off in a few months but those mortgage payments have another 25 years to go so you're very fortunate! In this economy it's always best to keep your debt as low as you possibly can. Congrats!

My car is paid off. I got that two years ago, and got one that was affordable enough to pay off in just a short period of time. I took at look at the economy first, in deciding what to do about housing. I did not think it was a good time for a mortgage, and the long term notes, so paying cash seemed like a much better solution to me. Thanks.
