Do you pray as ONE family everyday????

Family Prayers - The family that prays together stays together

Few years back when my family was not at all in prayers and always contributed majority of out time in merry making, little did we know the importance of family prayers......many problems started pouring in on us and we went to many idols to get solutions to our problems.....and finally we cam to Jesus who showed us the right way and helped us out of our situations........during one of our counseling sessions, a priest told us that "Do you have family prayers in your house" My dad was taken aback as we paid very little heed to praying as ONE family....... He made us understand the importance of family prayers and said that we need to pray as a FAMILY it helps you stay bonded to each other and helps the family to grow in love and unity......from that day on, we always have our family prayers during evenings as we all are back from our respective work places and routine.... I remember this famous saying "The family that prays together, stays together" Do you have family prayers in your house???? Do you think it matters to pray as one family or it is fine if we just pray individually?????

My fiance and I pray together from time to time. We don't do it as often as we should but we're really working on it. We're trying to grow together as Christians, and I think that we're doing a good job of it. Of course we're still embarrassed to pray together but I can tell that it's getting easier and that we're growing together.

Well by problems i am reminded that, many a times during prayer i always have a fight with my dad, it sounds little strange but yes i do, i play the piano during prayers and my dad sometimes wants me to play hymns that he wants, and somewhere i don't usually oppose that but when it gets so very regular i oppose it and there's where the problem starts.......we have heated arguments on it, all during prayer time, i prayed to the lord to get things right, he took some time but yes it did, he is a changed person now, we had discussion on this and i said, we will take hymns of both our choices and then it should not be a problem.....it could have been sorted much earlier, but Satan does not allow this to happen..... Try and sort things out my friend, i know sometimes things are not really in our hands, pray unceasingly that god might bless all your problems and see the difference....... God bless !!!!

Hey John4Christ! How are you doing? Praying as one family everyday is great! I'm afraid not many people do it, not even where I go to church. I hate to admit it but we never prayed as a family, either. I actually don't think it's necessary to pray as a family but it is good if you can. We're also fine if we pray individually, too. I pray every night, myself. Kathy.

I am doing good kathy, I have noticed this thing that when you pray as one family you are always bonded with each other and that love keeps growing.......my family usually does their personal prayers during morning time.......and then we pray as one family during evening just before the dinner and bedtime.....it feels good.....
