I am not sure how many canadian myloters we have here, and from those which ones use Bell sympatico internet, but I have to rant here LOL
I have had more problems with my bell internet in the past few months than in the over 10 years that I have been with them.
What's going on, Bell?
I always like the sympatico name ( in portuguese simpatico, can be translated as nice, pleasant ) but now it's not even close to those words.
About 2 months ago, I was almost a week without internet. I could have taken it, if they didn't keep going in circles whenever I called. First it was a small server problem, it would be solved in a few minutes. Then it was the whole area, although I told them that a friend of mine living just in the next street had no problems with her connection, then it was because they were trying to fix a major problem... and at the end of almost a week, they end up telling me that the problem was my modem and that they would send me a new one - which would take another 3 to 5 days.
What??????????????You must be out of your mind. If the problem was with my modem it should have been noticed right from the beginning and I would have my modem by the end of the week. Worse, when I said that their solution didn't work for me, they told me they could send it priority but I had to pay $15. I have to what?????
"You didn't understand me. It was your mistake, not mine. I want one, now! And I will not pay a cent to have it delivered faster. If you have any other answer for me that doesn't include - Yes mam, you will have it at your door tomorrow - I will just cross the street, enter Future shop and get the rogers internet package. I am tired of this."
Ok so I did get it the next day. But it was the wrong one. Again?????? I want the right one in here tomorrow and I will not wait any longer than that.
Ok... I did get the right one the next day.
But the point is... what's happening? They used to be a good service. Their technical support was quite good as technical support goes. Now, we can feel then grasping for answer that they are not sure of, we hear them offering solutions that are not even correct, we have them pass our call from one to the other like a hot potato....
I did tell them that too. "You used to have a very good technical support, what's going on there, passing that part of the job to some poor country somewhere, where people are reading lines from and old manual and are not even trained properly?"
And today, here I am finishing something to send to school - yes it is over, but the principal is still there LOL - and suddenly I have no internet. I had to wait until now - almost 3 am - to finally have my connection back.
So.... if you're canadian and you have bell sympatico, have you been having more problems lately?
If you're not Canadian, have you had any internet connection problems, or more in the past few months than before?

I tried to have Sympatico installed here, and it caused me nothing but problems. I never was able to get the dang thing to work, so i eventually just went to Rogers internet instead. DSL is beyond me, and I really like my cable access. For me it is a lot easier. I don't think I'll ever use DSL internet.
